Myths & Truths About Fortune-Telling

Myths: Every time I ask my fortune to be tell, my life span will reduce.

Truths: Fortune telling is just to provide you a suggestion and advice thus your life span will not be reduce.

Occults(Western & Chinese) theories: Fate is fixed whenever a person is born, however a person's destiny still able to change depend on the person's will and choice make in life. Different fortune-teller/occult practitioner have different ranking for fate and destiny(some state 60% is fate, 40% is destiny; for me, I'll state 80% is fate and 20% is destiny as in giving consideration of karma mechanism). Below is a standard ranking for the Chinese "I'Ching" on fate and destiny.

20% - Fate
20% - Luck
20% - Feng shui/ Geomatic omen (Environment structure factor)
20% - Knowledge development (Things you learn while implementing it)
20% - Ethics (The goodness you done in your life time)

Myths: Fortune tell/occults are all superficial.

Truths: In the modern context, Occults (Western & Chinese) theories have been very similar to scientific methodology; and to make it more understandable and realistic, many occults experts have uses many other theories from psychology, sociology and physics to explain its philosophy. For example, in occults - "being positive in life can bring prosperity in life too" and in scientific theory - "a motivated person is able to be more successful than people who are not". In simple term, many refers it to be the statistical methodology.

Myths: Fortune tell/occults are all untrue as many occult practitioners contradict each another theory (e.g. Astrologer A rank Leo as the luckiest horoscope in 2013 whereas Astrologer B rank Leo as the unluckiest horoscope in 2013)

Truths: There isn't any contradiction in many occult practitioners as different occult practitioners have different perception and evaluation criteria in ranking and explaining (e.g. an astrologer may rank or see love prospect to be more important than career prospect). In addition, humans tends to only notice the think they like and fail to acknowledge other perspective (e.g. In the theory of karma, when there are good there will be bad)

Myths: In Chinese Occults, as long as I'm born in 1988(year of dragon base on lunar calender) my zodiac is dragon.

Truths: There are 2 philosophy regarding on the changing of zodiac every year.

1. Basing on the Lunar calender
2. Base on the sun calender (aka Normal western calender) the changing of zodiac every year is on the 14th of February. For example, if you are born in 13/02/1988, your zodiac is rabbit; if you are born in 14/02/1988, your zodiac is dragon. 

Both are correct as different fortune-teller follow different philosophy. If for your personal use, you may just choose one philosophy to your preference. (^_^)

Myths: Horoscope fortune forecast reading is not accurate base on my horoscope.

Truths: One person have more than one horoscope sign(max. 11 horoscope sign per person) base on the different planet/astrology indicator. And whatever horoscope mention and know normally is refer to the Sun sign horoscope (There is also moon sign, mercury sign, mars sign etc.). Plus different planet/astrology indicator sign associate different attribute. 

For example:
#Moon refer to your inner self
#Venus refer to your love life
#Mercury refer to your interaction with others
#Mars refer to your strength/capability and sex-life.... etc.

Myths & Truth On Witches

Witches are noble beings with wisdom. In the modern contexts, it is a religion call 'Wiccan' or 'Wicca'. As below are some untruth facts about witches that framed by unethical personnel from the past.

Myths: Brooms are magical equipment that all witches uses as transportation.

Truths: Witches does not ride on brooms. However they use it to swipe away misfortune.

Such myths arise during the witch-hunting era:
As the witch hunters surrounded the witch's house (to catch the witches staying inside), the witches have no way to escape but what they left (the only hope to survive) is to climb up the chimney and find ways to escape. However the chimney was very dusty, hence they use brooms to swipe their way up. As a result, when the witches reached the roofs top, the witch-hunter though that the witches rides on the broom and fly to the roofs.

Myths: Witches always wear black clothing.

Truths: Black was never a choice for witches during their ritual. They wore black is to camouflage themselves in the night in as to prevent being capture by the witch-hunter in the past.

Myths: Witches' book of witchcraft is call 'book of shadow' is because they are spells about the evil shadow.

Truths: Witches' book of witchcraft is call 'book of shadow' is because the witches cannot openly pass down their knowledge of witchcraft to their apprentice during the witch-hunting era. Hence, they have to pass down their knowledge of witchcraft secretly like in the shadow. This is to prevent others from suspecting them of being a witch.

Myths: Witches refers to the characters in 'Harry Potter'.

Truths: Character in "Harry Potter" should refer to as sorcerer whereas witches are more well describe in the TV drama "Charmed".  

The distinct different between a sorcerer and a witch is:
Sorcerer use magic to enhance personal development.
Witches use magic to enhance both personal and nature development as a whole.

1st: Gemini- Its the luckiest this year in all respect but may also fail to notice critical issue or opportunity if you being too ego.

2nd: Taurus- Continue to enjoy 10 year of good prospect(start from 2010). However, don't be over proud the situation or else you may fail to notice the good prospect coming.
